You may have seen this project on
Pretty Providence, today is my day to share it. I really loved this because it was super easy and took only about a half hour. I kept seeing cute trucker hats everywhere and I decided that it couldn’t be too hard for me to make one myself, and it wasn’t!
Back in high school, I refashioned a wedding dress into a prom dress. I used some bridal lace from
Joann’s to make the sleeves a little thicker. It’s been 7 years and I still had some of that lace left over taunting me in my craft room. I’m glad I finally put it to good use on this hat!
I got my hat from
Amazon and they have almost every color you can image for pretty cheap, I got mine
here. I love how the lace provides the perfect feminine juxtaposition to the casual nature of a trucker hat.
This was such a fun project, anyone can do it!
Here’s the lace I started out with.
This is after I decided where I wanted the lace to go, and right before I began sewing.
And voila!
I was really excited to bust it out for my family’s recent camping trip.
That’s it! Pretty easy, huh? Good luck if you try it! I’d love to see how other people do it.
