The Basics
The dress has a crew neckline, long sleeves, and a swing hemline.
Everyday Wear
My favorite way to wear this dress is to soften the high neckline with a scarf, add a necklace for some eye-catching details, and pair it with some comfortable fall booties. My gemstone necklace is also from Cents of Style, you can find it here.
Date Night
It’s getting pretty chilly here at night, so it’s great to pair this dress with a warm hat and some leggings. The matching hat, leggings, and heels add a more sophisticated edge to an otherwise casual dress. The necklace makes the outfit more interesting.
Soccer Game
The chambray shirt helps to define the waist, while the converse shoes and baseball hat are comfortable and functional for an outdoors event.
SnowApocalypse 2016
It’s coming. The freezing days of doom where I no longer look forward to my walk to the mailbox or going outside in general. This year I’m gearing up to not be such a pansy cake. To help with that, I’ve paired the Remi Swing Dress with fleece-lined leggings, water proof leather boots rated to -20 degrees, a warm and classic trench coat, and a beanie to top it off. I’m not a huge fan of being cold, but if I’m wearing this, I won’t be!
I also ended up wearing this dress for our family pictures with DeAnna Adele Photography. She’s amazing. The fact that my kids aren’t being super crazy is a BIG deal people. Thanks DeAnna!
Do you have any tips for wearing a swing dress? I’d love to hear them!
Do you wear your Converse sneakers without socks?
No, I just wear low socks. I hate going without socks.
