The fact that the new Cricut Maker has a tiny rotary cutter inside makes it the ultimate tool for sewists and crafters alike. I’ll admit, in the past, I sometimes skipped out on sewing certain patterns because the task of cutting the pattern paper, then pinning it to the fabric, then cutting the fabric, then marking the fabric… just seemed too overwhelming to me.
With the Cricut Maker and their new partnership with pattern giant, Simplicity, those tedious pattern prepping days are over. With a great selection of ready-made Cricut + Simplicity patterns in Cricut Design Space, you simply let the Maker do all the work for you. And it does it with perfection.
Where has this been all my life? No, seriously? Look at those perfect pieces!
Today, I am beyond thrilled to show you how I used one of the aforementioned Cricut + Simplicity patterns to make my very own swim top. With a few simple adjustments, you can take this pattern that’s designed for wovens, and use it to create a beautiful and feminine sweetheart swim top.
In order to be as clear as possible, I have created this video tutorial to help guide you along as you make your very own swimsuit top.
I hope you love the final result as much as I do!
