I’ve had this dress in my refashion stash for so long, I can’t even remember where I got it. It was either a local thrift store or a swap meet. I do remember being excited about it’s potential. The fabric is a lovely neutral that can beautifully pair with a large array of colors and patterns. I wanted to get as much versatility out of it as I could, so the final result can be worn together as a dress, or separately as a skirt.

While I was working on it, I got the notion that it’d be fun to add a pom pom trim to the sleeves. I wasn’t a 100% sure about it though, so I turned to Instagram to do a poll. It was almost evenly split, but the pom poms won by about 10%, so on they went!

I think they really add a touch of fun to the dress. I also ironed-on some appliques from JOANN that coordianted with the black pom trim.
