Hello Friends! After overdosing on soda, and spending way too much time cramped up in the craft room, I’m happy to present–The Peplum Set.
This piece began life in the early 90’s. It was an elegant dress that looked like two separate pieces, but was in fact, one. Maybe it was a mother-of-the-bride dress. Maybe it was just for church. I like to think it was worn and cherished, until one day, it faded out of style and was donated to Savers. It managed to last at Savers the maximum time they keep things. I know this because it was 50% off, and that only happens to items that haven’t sold after a specific period of time. For only $6 out of pocket, I brought this beauty home and began to dream about it’s reincarnated life.
I immediately thought of a peplum–but then, I had to ask myself a serious question–are those still in style? After some Instagram hopping, I decided they were still safe.
I jumped right in, head first, and came out on top! I think one of the biggest game changers was the matching lace fabric from JOANN.
I also really loved the buttons on the back, so I made sure to keep them.

You may have noticed my hair is way longer in the after photos. I’m wearing Glam Seamless rooted clipin extensions in 9/613.
