Today I get to share my makes from the Raspberry Creek Fabrics’ Suit up for Summer blog tour! If you love swimsuits and sewing, you are going to love this tour! There’s links to tons of different blogs at the bottom of this post that will take you to different handmade swimsuit posts.
I had so much fun sewing these swimsuits! I used Made for Mermaids patterns for both suits. The tie-dye suit is made with the Alexandria Swimsuit Pattern, and the two piece is a hack using the Mama Camila Pattern.
All of the fabric is courtesy of Raspberry Creek Fabrics, and this week you can use promo code SWIMTOUR to get 15% all swim fabrics from RCF.
First up is the Alexandria swimsuit. I used this awesome teal tie-dye fabric for it. This print is available in both swim lycra, and boardshort fabric–so it’s great for making matching sets for your family.
Next up, is my take on the Mama Camila Swimsuit. I hacked the pattern to make it a two piece, and I also shortened the flouce because I didn’t have enough fabric to make it as long as the pattern originally demanded.
The fabric for the top is this Palm Leaf Floral.
And the bottoms were made with the Damask Diamond Stripe Print, available in swim and boardshort fabric.
There’s a great giveaway going on for the swim tour right now, so make sure you check it out!
A huge thank you to our sponsors and don’t forget to check out today’s giveaway!!
